Validation
ISO 9001 has become the benchmark for standard quality – which is why Dickinson Autocon has used it as the starting-point for the company’s validation model. We believe this model sets the quality standard for validation throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Pharmaceutical
Before authorities will license pharmaceutical products, such as the FDA, TGA etc require validation of computerised control processes. The need for this validation is, therefore, an issue that must be considered carefully during system planning – and an area where Dickinson Autocon works particularly closely with clients. The company has evolved a quality methodology (based on ISO 9000 and GAMP guidelines) which allows for clear validation of the control system through the use of rigorous quality standards. An example of this is illustrated right as the classic V model and includes change control and document tracability matrix to ensure all project components correlate and have been fully tested. Test specifications are written to test code and hardware and form part of IQ and OQ documentation.

Simulation
Dickinson have written full plant simulation packages using PLC and Custom Code. This enables customers to fully test system code & product recipes prior to implementation as well as providing the perfect system for operator training.
